JBS Converte 36 Milhões de Litros de Óleo Usado em Biodiesel com Programa Óleo Amigo

O programa Óleo Amigo da JBS, criado para promover a educação ambiental e a economia circular, coletou 11 milhões de litros de óleo de cozinha usado em 2024, um aumento de 154% em relação ao ano anterior. Desde sua criação, o programa já destinou corretamente 36 milhões de litros de óleo, gerando 900 bilhões de litros de água preservados. Em 2024, foram preservados 278 bilhões de litros.
Com a colaboração de cidades como Curitiba, Lins e Campo Verde, o programa impacta mais de 90 municípios e pode alcançar até 10 milhões de pessoas. A iniciativa também contribui para a economia local, gerando renda para parceiros e ajudando na redução de custos com saneamento básico.
Além do reaproveitamento do óleo em biodiesel, o programa tem um caráter educativo, com atividades para conscientizar crianças sobre o impacto ambiental do óleo na água. Desde 2016, mais de 45 mil estudantes foram alcançados.
Com foco em economia circular, a JBS utiliza 99% de cada bovino processado, aproveitando resíduos para a produção de diversos produtos além do biodiesel.
